Appointments

Growing Healthy Together means having appointments available and open communication with your child’s healthcare provider.

We are available and eager to help between 6 am and 10 pm, seven days a week!  After 10 pm, you can leave a message with our on-call provider and we will address your question first thing in the morning.  For urgent questions after 10 pm and before 6 am, you can call the 24-hour helpline your insurance provides.  They can help you decide if you need to go to the ER or wait until morning.  IF you don’t have insurance and think you need emergent care, go to the CHOC emergency department or urgent care.  Our favorite urgent care facilities in Long Beach are https://www.memorialcare.org/locations/memorialcare-medical-group-long-beach-los-altos and http://nairurgentcare.com.  For all emergencies, call 911.

If you’re new to our office, please call (562) 473-4441 to schedule a consultation or regular appointments with an experienced nurse practitioner. We are a Pediatric and Family Clinic serving patients in the Los Alamitos, Huntington Beach, Cerritos, San Pedro, Bellflower, Lakewood, Westlake & Southern California areas.

If you’ve been in the office already, please log in to our patient portal, where you can:

  • make and check appointments except for sick or vaccine-only appointments,
  • send us messages,
  • find forms,
  • and access your lab results and health data.

If you do not have access to the patient portal, please request a link by calling us at (562) 473-4441 or emailing us at ght@ghtkids.com.

New Patient Appointments

A $50 non-refundable deposit per patient is required for new patients at the time of scheduling to confirm and hold your appointment. The deposit is applied to the cost of the visit or applied to a future visit. If you cancel your appointment at least 24 hours before, the deposit will be applied to a future appointment. If you miss the appointment, you will lose your deposit.

Payment of Fees and Unpaid Accounts

We expect payment at the time of service.  We take many steps to avoid collections. However, if your account is forwarded to a collection agency, you will be assessed a collection fee added to your final balance placed with the collection agency. You will also be responsible for all legal fees and court costs involved.

Telemedicine visits

Pediatric Telemedicine Visits: Convenient and Safe Care for Your Child

At Growing Healthy Together, we understand that sometimes getting your child to the doctor’s office can be challenging. That’s why we offer telemedicine visits, a convenient and safe way to receive care for your child from the comfort of your own home.

What is Telemedicine?

Telemedicine uses technology to provide medical care remotely. During a telemedicine visit, you and your child will connect with one of our providers using a secure video conferencing platform.

What Can Telemedicine Be Used For?

Telemedicine can be used for a variety of pediatric needs, including:

  • Minor illnesses, such as colds, flu, and rashes
  • Follow-up appointments
  • Medication management
  • Behavioral health concerns
  • Nutritional counseling

Benefits of Telemedicine

  • Convenience: No need to travel to the doctor’s office.
  • Safety: Reduces exposure to germs.
  • Accessibility: Provides access to care for families in rural or underserved areas.
  • Time-saving: Less time spent waiting in the waiting room.

How to Schedule a Telemedicine Visit

To schedule a telemedicine visit, please call our office or request an appointment through our patient portal.

What to Expect During a Telemedicine Visit

During your telemedicine visit, our pediatrician will:

  • Ask about your child’s symptoms and medical history.
  • Perform a visual assessment of your child.
  • Provide a diagnosis and treatment plan.
  • Answer any questions you may have.

Is Telemedicine Right for My Child?

Telemedicine is a great option for many children, but it may not be appropriate for all medical conditions. Our providers will help you determine if telemedicine is a good fit for your child’s needs.
